Blackjack, together with roulette is the most popular casino game all over the world. Thanks to its simple rules and quick steps, this game has gained the sympathy of players worldwide. Moreover, blackjack is the only game, which, of course by favourable circumstances, gives you a chance to win even with a casino, itself.
The home of blackjack is France. Already in XVIII century, the game called vingt-et-un (twenty-one) has been played in French casinos. This game has been introduced in the United States many years later, however, without success. To encourage players to take a twenty-one game American casinos have introduced additional winnings. They were supposed to change the players’ attitude to twenty-one game, from negative to positive.
One of the winnings they additionally introduced has been cash, which amounts to ten times what has been stake in a bet. You would get it, if you have a pair consisting of an ace and a black jack. Although the project with additional winnings has been removed rather fast, the name BLACKJACK remained. Today blackjack does not necessary require any jack or any black card.
The rules In blackjack, a player plays solely against croupier, even if there are other players playing. To win a single deal, a player has to collect cards which value is bigger than those of the croupier are. However, if the value exceeds 21 the player looses.
