The details about blackjack history are not known. Blackjack came into being in France, probably at the beginning of the XVIII century. Two centuries later, it became very popular in the USA.
Game’s chronicle:
1956r. – First attempts to win in blackjack by applying mathematical calculations. Roger Baldwin published an article in American Statistical Association, “Optimal Strategy in Blackjack”.
Professor Edward O. Thorp has introduced in 1962 the first method of card counting.
1963r. - „Beat the Dealer: Strategy for the Game of Twenty-One” has been published. It became a bestseller that affects strategies of many casinos.
1970r. – First Computer strategy for Blackjack has become available
